Karen Groulx is a member of the Commercial Litigation Practice, Construction Practice and Insolvency & Corporate Restructuring Practice.
Practice
Karen practices corporate/commercial litigation and has appeared before all levels of Ontario courts with a specific focus on information technology and intellectual property disputes, the preservation and enforcement of construction liens, bonding and trust claims. She also has experience acting for both plaintiffs and defendants in a broad spectrum of corporate/commercial litigation including: fraudulent transactions; corporate and shareholder disputes; complex contractual disputes; creditor's rights to enforce real and personal property security; and professional negligence claims including liability claims against accountants, lawyers, engineers, and architects.
Karen was a member of the Electronic Discovery Sub-Committee of the Task Force on the Discovery Process in Ontario, which produced the Guidelines for the Discovery of Electronic Documents in Ontario. Karen is also a member of the Sedona Canada Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production in Canada.
