Practice
Shona’s practice involves legal research most often in the context of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, tort law, shareholder rights and remedies, director and officer liability, lender liability, creditor and debtor remedies, commercial real estate disputes, priority disputes on insolvency and professional liability of accountants, stockbrokers, and lawyers. Shona is a seasoned practitioner in legal research with expertise in complex multi-party litigation and sophisticated business and commercial matters.
She is skilled in preparing detailed research memoranda, providing general research advice and preparing legal opinions and written advocacy. Shona also develops strategies and initiatives that facilitate knowledge capture, organization and sharing, such as the design, implementation and coordination of the firm precedent system and research bank for cost-effective and efficient delivery of client services.
