What Is RSS?
Very briefly, RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a method of delivering publications (articles, news, other types of content) that avoids the problems caused by overzealous spam filters, incompatible email configuration, or just plain email fatigue. It addresses some vexing problems of content distribution and syndication. It enables subscribers of that content to be kept informed on a regular basis, via a different channel than email. Though the RSS format is similar to Web pages or email newsletters, it differs in key ways:
- To read RSS content, people/organizations use software called (naturally…) an RSS reader.
- RSS content is delivered only to those who ask for it (no spam). Therefore, you manage your subscription (and unsubscription) without any intervention.
We do not recommend nor endorse any particular RSS reader. You can find a variety of RSS readers here. In addition, if you use Internet Explorer 7, you can simply add the feeds of your choice into your Favorites.

- After installing and starting your RSS reader, subscribing to Pallett Valo RSS feeds is easy:
- Click on the topic that suits your needs best.
- You will see a page full of code. Copy only the URL from the Address bar. (E.g. http://www.pallettvalo.com/rss_feed.php?catid=8.)
- Paste only the URL into the appropriate place in your RSS reader.
- Follow the same steps to receive feeds from your areas of interest.
